The Zimo Clan–Maistrade Youth Empowerment Training Program is a joint initiative focused on empowering young people with skills and resources to thrive in livestock farming and animal husbandry. The program integrates:
- Practical livestock training in feeding, breeding, reproduction, health management, and product harvesting.
- Digital livestock simulations via the Zimo Clan Digital Livestock Farming App to provide hands-on, risk-free learning.
- Financial empowerment through access to Maistrade cooperative loans for participants who meet training performance standards.
Goals:
- Build a new generation of livestock agripreneurs.
- Provide employment and income pathways through livestock ventures.
- Bridge technology, training, and financing to ensure participants move from learning to ownership.

- Applicants with access to a smartphone (for online training and app use).
Funding Selection:
- Only the top 10,000 participants will be selected for livestock loan opportunities.
- Selection is strictly based on training performance, scoring system, and commitment.
Training Process – Duration, Format, Scoring System
- Duration: 6 months.
- Format: 100% online via the Zimo Clan Digital Livestock Farming App + live virtual mentorship sessions.
- Modules: Feeding & Nutrition, Breeding & Reproduction, Animal Health, Product Harvesting, Business & Marketing.
Scoring System:
- Quizzes & assignments – 40%
- Digital simulation performance – 40%
- Attendance & engagement – 20%
- Minimum passing score – 70%
Funding Opportunity
for Top 10,000
Through Maistrade Cooperative, the program provides
funding opportunities for the top 10,000 performers.
Loan Details:
- Structure: Combination of cash support (for farm setup, housing, water, and operational expenses) and in-kind support (livestock units, feed, and veterinary supplies).
- Disbursement: Issued in phases, tied to farm setup milestones and livestock cycles.
- Repayment: Flexible repayment through cooperative structures, aligned with livestock production and sales cycles.
- Support: Continuous mentorship and monitoring to ensure sustainability of each farm.
